Giffnock

Welcome to Giffnock United Reformed Church

Giffnock United Reformed Church, formerly Giffnock Congregational Church, has been in the heart of Giffnock for over 85 years.

When the new houses were built in Giffnock in the 1930s, members of the Congregational Church in Eglinton Street near Eglinton Toll, decided that it would be a good idea to move out to the suburbs and have a church among these new houses. They put their plan into action and the church opened in March 1937. There is a beautiful rose window at the front of the church which was brought from Eglinton Street to the church in Giffnock.

The church is well situated on the main road at 163 Fenwick Road.

The church has is own car park and it is also right beside a bus stop served by all the First Bus 38s, and Stagecoach 4, and is five minutes from the train station, so it is an easy place to visit.

One of the entrances has steps, but the other entrance is ramped for easy access.

We have a loop system in the church and hall and we have some dementia friendly signs in the building.

Why don’t you come and see for yourself?
